Larry Dalziel, AIA is a licensed Architect of over 35 years, specializing in technical review and critical analysis of Construction Documents in all phases of development, including coordination with other disciplines, scheduling sequences and project management. Larry understands the critical nature of maintaining design intent while facilitating ease of construction. His experience has grown from a vast career working in mixed use multi-family mid-rise and high-rise developments and commercial scale projects such as hotels, convention centers, and assisted living facilities to become an expert in technical detail. With the perspective of documents-as-defense, his deliverable processes have ranged from traditional design-bid-build, design-build to fast track design-construction and modular pre-fabrication projects.
In recent years, as Project Director, Larry was instrumental in organizing and planning the strategic process of facilitating construction and operational requirements to maintain 24/7 operation of the Javits Convention Center [NYC] while fully renovating and expanding the facility by 1.2M square feet. This included the fast-track design & construction of a 110,000 "temporary" exhibition hall. He developed methods to monitor the quality output of the Team's documents, which included over 100 document packages through the course of construction.
Larry has always maintained a keen eye for detail and can consistently spot errant inconsistencies in design and construction documents. Larry now brings these skills of almost four decades to bear with HIGHRES DOCS. Let’s talk about how these skills can benefit your team to improve quality and reduce risk.
